Along with others, I got Congress to officially recognize the 200th anniversary of his birth, in the Rotunda, last year. He worked 25 years decorating and painting in the Capitol. Among other things he painted, single-handedly, The Apotheosis of Washington, in the dome. I would like to see the new Capitol Visitor Center, named after him. Imagine, what will be, the most visited building in WDC, named after an artist! Please pray for this!
